Job Purpose

Customer Service Representative is the primary point of contact for EPAC customers. The job function is to field all requests and complete each task through resolution. Customer Service Representatives are responsible to handle all requests within their capabilities and will continuously improve customer service skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to develop and maintain positive working relationship with customers, clients, co- workers, and management.
  2. You are expected to act in a safe manner at all times and ensure that those around you do not put themselves or others at risk. Safety is everyone's responsibility. At ALL times working safely is a condition of employment.
  3. Ensure that all customer inquiries are completed in a timely and professional manner, utilizing all available technical materials and/or coordination with other EPAC team members to assure an accurate response.
  4. Enter standard pump and parts orders in the business system as needed, utilizing proper processes so that "clean" orders are received by the Production Planning Department.
  5. Direct customer inquiries of a more technical nature to the proper EPAC department as necessary for proper resolution.
  6. Handle customer requests from initiation through completion or confirmed hand off to other employees to ensure a quality service experience to customers.
  7. Take ownership of customer problems and concerns and work to follow up until requests are fulfilled.
  8. Adhere to implemented systems, processes, and procedures.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum two-year technical degree or certificate in related discipline or 2+ years of customer service experience in an industrial or wastewater pump company.

Excellent communication skills with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce is a plus.

General practical knowledge of mechanical equipment, pumps and electric motors is a plus.


Working Conditions

This position operates in a professional, temperature controlled, office setting that is clean and well lit. In this environment, employees will have their own workstation, office or cubical space and are equipped basic office equipment including a desk, chair, telephone, headset, and computer, etc. Due to the nature of business activities, extended or a flexible work schedule is often required over the traditional 8 to 5 workdays. This position is fast paced, as work may be repetitious and stressful, with little time between calls or case management activities.
